Me personally, bland colors aren't annoying but it'd be nice to have something other than a grey background as the home screen. A cool idea for the background, would be getting the thumbnails of the most popular games and having a slideshow. But that's just my suggestion, don't have to take it. And if your too lazy, just hold a competition and give the winner a random prize, like an 'Art Contest Winner' role in the discord server. Or a little paint canvas next to their name if they post a forum.
